Rescue operations are ongoing in multiple Ukrainian cities after Russia’s overnight attacks. The enemy launched over 450 attack drones and 45 missiles of various types, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Air Forces.
"So far, 11 people have been injured, including children. Unfortunately, one person has died. My condolences to their families. Dozens have been rescued," the president said.
According to Zelenskyy, casualties were reported in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Poltava regions. The attacks also affected Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv regions, and Odesa.
During the latest wave of attacks, Russia deliberately targeted residential areas, energy infrastructure, and other critical facilities.
"The question is in the resources for killing, in the money. Sanctions are needed to prevent Russia from continuing the war," the president emphasized.
He called on international partners to adopt a European decision on freezing Russian assets, implement additional sanctions, and strengthen Ukraine’s protection.
"For every strike Moscow makes on our energy system, there must be a sanctions response targeting all of Russian energy — without exceptions," Zelenskyy said.
The president noted that Russia’s nuclear energy sector remains unsanctioned, while its defense industry continues to receive Western microelectronics.
"We rely on corresponding decisions from the US, Europe, and the G7. Thanks to all who help and act to protect lives," he added.

Russian attack on Ukraine on November 8
On the night of November 8, Russia carried out a massive drone and missile attack across Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.
Following attacks on energy infrastructure, Kremenchuk and Horishni Plavni in Poltava region were left completely without electricity.
Local authorities are taking all necessary measures to maintain water, sewage, and heating systems despite the blackout. Shelter points for residents are also operational.
Russian forces also shelled the suburbs of Kharkiv overnight. The attacks caused power and water outages, and the metro is temporarily not operating. Due to voltage problems, some districts are without water, and public transport has been partially switched from trolleybuses to buses.
The Russian military continued its drone and missile attacks throughout the night. All details of the combined attack are available in the RBC-Ukraine report.
