On the night of May 1, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using 210 strike drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 5:45 p.m. Kyiv time, on April 30 until the morning of May 1, the Russians launched 210 attack drones of the Shahed type, including jet-powered ones, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia; Hvardiiske of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea; temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.

About 140 of the drones launched were Shaheds.

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 190 Russian Shahed Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

20 strike drones were recorded hitting 14 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 10 locations.

Attacks on Ukraine

On the night of May 1, the Russians attacked high-rise buildings in Odesa with drones, causing fires.

Yesterday, April 30, Russian troops attacked Mykolaiv with drones, damaging a residential area and an apartment building, causing a fire.

Also, yesterday afternoon, the Russians attacked the suburbs of Dnipro with a drone strike, causing a fire; one casualty and one injured person have been reported.
