Russia strikes Ukraine with 118 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of June 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with 118 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the Russian drones, but some hit their targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parodiya-type decoy drones were launched from Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske of temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 110 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Three strike drones were recorded hitting three locations, and debris from downed drones was found at six locations.
"Russian attack is ongoing; several Russian drones are in the airspace. Follow safety guidelines," the Ukrainian Air Force warns.
Oreshnik threat
On June 12, the Ukrainian Air Force warned that there was a high probability of a strike on Ukraine with a medium-range Oreshnik ballistic missile on Friday, June 12.
All Ukrainians were urged not to ignore air raid sirens for the next 24 hours.
Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also urged Ukrainians to respond to air raid sirens in the coming days.
