A Russian drone attacked a car in the Velyka Pysarivka community this morning. As a result of the Russian strike, a 73-year-old driver was killed, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

"Unfortunately, today in Okhtyrka, a civilian man was killed as a result of a Russian attack," Hryhorov says.

According to him, at around 7 a.m., a Russian drone attacked a car in the village of Velyka Pysarivka community. The 73-year-old driver was killed, and the medical vehicle was damaged.

"Sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," adds the head of the regional administration.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Russian troops continue to strike civilian targets and vehicles in Ukraine, causing the deaths of civilians.

In particular, on August 9, in the Bilenke community of the Zaporizhzhia region, a Russian FPV drone hit a car, killing 2 people who were in the car.

On August 12, 3 civilians were killed in the Donetsk region as a result of Russian strikes, and on August 13, a rocket strike on the Sumy region wounded a 7-year-old girl and a young man. At least 6 private houses were also damaged in the Russian attack.

On the same day, on a highway in the Beryslav district of the Kharkiv region, Russians dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian car, killing 2 people.
