Russia strikes Ukraine's Kramatorsk with high-explosive aerial bomb

On the night of August 21, Russian troops launched an air strike on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, dropping a FAB-250 aerial bomb. As a result of the Russian attack, one person was wounded, according to the Kramatorsk City Council.
Russia struck Kramatorsk's landscaping nursery. A man born in 1975 was wounded in the attack. His condition is assessed as not severe, and he has been provided with medical assistance.
At least 10 objects were damaged as a result of the explosion, including a residential building, office premises, and household appliances.
Rescue workers and utility services are working at the site.
The FAB-250 is a Soviet general-purpose high-explosive bomb weighing about 250 kg, of which approximately 90-100 kg is explosive material. The length of the munition is approximately 1.5 meters, and the diameter of the body is about 30 centimeters.
It is an unguided free-fall bomb with low accuracy that often hits civilian targets. It can be dropped from both old Soviet aircraft and modern Russian bombers, including the Su-24, Su-25, Su-30, and Su-34.
When it explodes, the FAB-250 creates a significant area of damage with debris and a shock wave that can spread up to 200 meters.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has regularly used these bombs against Ukrainian cities, causing significant destruction and numerous casualties among the civilian population.
Russian strikes on Kramatorsk
Kramatorsk is constantly under Russian attack. Due to its proximity to the front line in the Donetsk region, the city has repeatedly been the target of Russian strikes, including the use of aerial bombs, missiles, and strike drones.
Earlier, Russians also attacked Kramatorsk with a guided aerial bomb. A Russian strike hit a residential high-rise building, killing a child and injuring five people.
Before that, Russians struck Kramatorsk with 7 shells. The industrial zone and residential buildings were damaged.
Even earlier, the private sector came under Russian attack, and people were injured in Kramatorsk.
