Russian hits multi-story building in Kramatorsk with guided aerial bomb, child killed

On the night of July 22, Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk with a guided aerial bomb. The strike hit a residential multi-story building, killing a child and injuring five people, Head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, reports.
According to Honcharenko, the enemy struck Kramatorsk with a guided aerial bomb. The munition hit a multi-story residential building, causing a fire.
"As of 7:30 a.m. (local time - ed.), it is known that one person was killed - a boy born in 2015. Five others were injured and are receiving qualified medical assistance," the statement says.

Kramatorsk is an important industrial and administrative center in the east of Ukraine, located in the Donetsk region.
Until 2014, the city was part of the powerful industrial hub of Donbas, and after the start of Russian aggression, it became the temporary administrative center of the region, which remains under Ukrainian government control.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kramatorsk has been repeatedly targeted by enemy shelling. One of the most tragic accidents was the missile strike on the railway station in April 2022, which killed dozens of civilians.

On Sunday, July 22, Russian forces shelled Kramatorsk: seven projectiles were fired at the city. The industrial area and residential buildings were affected.
Before that, Russian troops attacked the city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region twice. The private sector came under enemy fire, and people were injured.
Russians also carried out a series of airstrikes on Kramatorsk. At that time, seven enemy strikes hit the city, targeting industrial facilities and residential neighborhoods. One of the munitions struck a multi-story apartment building.
