Russia strikes Ukraine's Konotop: Rail lines, businesses and homes destroyed, child injured

The Russians struck Konotop again overnight. A 14-year-old child was injured, and dozens of buildings in the city were damaged, according to Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin.
A 14-year-old girl was injured as a result of a new nighttime Russian strike on Konotop.
According to Semenikhin, the Russian attack caused significant damage to the city's infrastructure. Specifically:
- Another agricultural enterprise was destroyed
- Part of the city was left without gas supply
- A residential building belonging to an ordinary family was destroyed
- Dozens of buildings and structures were damaged
- A section of railroad track and several Ukrainian Railways facilities were destroyed.
The mayor notes that Russia was unable to defeat Ukraine on the battlefield, so now, in its typical manner, it is terrorizing the civilian population.
"I thank God that everyone is alive after this strike," Semenikhin writes.
Meanwhile, on the night of August 25, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine with missiles and drones, namely an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-31P guided missile, and about 150 Shahed-type attack drones.
As of 9 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces had neutralized 124 Russian drones, and strikes were recorded at 17 locations.
Due to this same nighttime Russian attack, operations at the Vynohradivka–Vulcanesti international border crossing on the border with Moldova were temporarily suspended.
The reason is damage to the checkpoint's infrastructure following a Russian drone strike. Border crossings are currently suspended.
