Russia strikes Ukraine with 2 missiles and 150 drones overnight

Overnight, Russians attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and drones. Most of them did not reach their targets—they were intercepted by air defense forces, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russia's new air attack began at 6 p.m. on August 24.
As part of the new Russian attack, the Russians deployed:
- an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region of Russia
- a Kh-31P guided air-to-ground missile from the Bryansk region of Russia
- 150 Shahed-type attack drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This time, Russia's attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, air defense forces neutralized 124 Russian drones, including Shahed and Gerbera models, as well as other types, in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
"Russian airstrikes were recorded at 17 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 7 locations," the statement says.
Ukrainian defenders also warned civilians that several Russian drones remain in the airspace.
As a result of a new Russian attack, operations at the Vynohradivka–Vulcanesti international border crossing on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border have been temporarily suspended.
In addition, Russia struck a shopping mall in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Russia also attacked several major Ukrainian cities simultaneously last night.
