Russian forces struck Ukraine's Chernihiv region with an Iskander missile. As a result of the attack, a man was killed and vehicles were damaged, according to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.

"The aggressor launched a missile strike on one of the villages in the Koriukivka district. It was likely an Iskander attack. The equipment of an agricultural enterprise came under fire. One vehicle was destroyed, another was damaged," Chaus said.

According to him, unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack, a civilian man born in 1978 was killed.

In another settlement, a house was destroyed, and a civilian vehicle was damaged due to a drone strike. Energy facilities in the Nizhyn district were also targeted.

In total, over the past day, the aggressor carried out 40 attacks on the Chernihiv region. Sixteen settlements came under fire.

Russian strikes on the Chernihiv region

Early on the morning of Tuesday, September 30, Russia carried out a massive strike on the city of Bobrovytsia in the Chernihiv region, causing damage to the energy infrastructure.

In total, over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out 20 attacks on the Chernihiv region. Explosions were reported in 13 settlements of the region. In addition to the Nizhyn district, the Koriukivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts were also targeted.

More than 26,000 customers in the city of Bobrovytsia and nearby settlements were left without electricity. At present, power engineers are working to restore the electricity supply.
