Russia strikes Ukraine's Cherkasy with drones: 8-year-old child killed

Russian occupation forces attacked Cherkasy with strike drones in the evening of April 14. As a result of the attack, a child was killed, according to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, on Telegram.
According to him, in the evening, the Russian forces launched strike drones at the Cherkasy region. Ukrainian defenders managed to neutralize nine targets.
"Unfortunately, there are tragic consequences in the regional center. An 8-year-old boy died from injuries. My condolences to the family," the head of the regional administration wrote.
He added that nine more people were taken to the hospital, including a child. Three local residents received medical assistance on the spot.

According to Taburets, at least four apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the strike.
The official urged local residents to respond to air raid warnings.

The mayor of Cherkasy, Anatolii Bondarenko, told Suspilne that during the Russian attack, children were playing on a playground in the courtyard of an apartment building.
"The boys were playing on a children’s playground. He (the deceased child — ed.) was in the yard with his peers. Other children of the same age are currently under medical supervision," he added.
Strike on Dnipro
On April 14, Russian occupation forces struck Dnipro with a missile.
The attack caused significant destruction to civilian infrastructure, including damage to shops and vehicles.
As of the evening, five people were reported killed and 27 injured, many of whom are in serious condition.
