Another DTEK (the largest private energy company in Ukraine) thermal power plant has stopped operating as a result of the massive Russian attack on September 8, according to a statement by DTEK on Telegram.

The company said the aggressor state carried out several waves of attacks on one of its thermal power plants.

The plant is not generating electricity due to significant damage to its equipment.

Energy workers recalled that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK thermal power plants have been attacked by Russian forces more than 230 times.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russian forces had already struck DTEK facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region three times. The attacks caused significant damage to the equipment.

It was also reported that Russian attacks on August 18 forced one of DTEK's thermal power plants to stop operating. The plant came under a massive attack.

In addition, DTEK's restoration efforts following Russian attacks helped restore electricity to the homes of nearly 440,000 Ukrainian families in late July.
