Russia strikes tanker truck in Odesa region, people killed and injured

Two people were killed and another three were injured as a result of a Russian attack on the Odesa region on August 11. The strike hit a tanker truck, after which a fire broke out, according to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.
According to the report, Russian forces struck a tanker truck carrying oil residue. The truck caught fire following the strike, as did another passenger car.
According to preliminary data, two people were killed and three others were injured. The strike hit the truck's cab directly, and the driver sustained injuries incompatible with life.
Information about the consequences of the attack and the number of casualties is being clarified. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene.

Strikes on Odesa and the region
Odesa has increasingly become a target of Russian attacks. Attacks on civilian infrastructure have intensified recently, leaving some residents of Odesa and the Odesa region without electricity.
Russia is also attempting to disrupt logistics. Following a nighttime attack on August 9, traffic on a section of the Odesa-Reni highway in the Odesa region was temporarily restricted. Due to the damage, access to some border crossings with Moldova and traffic in the opposite direction toward Odesa were impossible.
Earlier, during Russian attacks on Odesa on August 9, a blast wave damaged a bus carrying 12 children. According to law enforcement officials, no one sustained serious injuries, while one child suffered minor scratches.
