Russia strikes Sumy with shrapnel drones
On November 22, the Russian occupiers attacked Sumy with drones carrying shrapnel, according to Sumy Regional Military Administration head Volodymyr Artiukh.
Russians attacked Sumy and the region with drones. According to Artiukh, the Russian Shakheds were equipped with shrapnel.
“This weapon is used to kill people, not to destroy objects. This is the first time in Sumy,” said the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Shrapnel is an artillery shell with damaging elements. It is designed to destroy enemy manpower and military equipment. It is a projectile stuffed with bullets.
When the ammunition explodes, the elements fly apart, causing extensive damage in the area of impact.
Russian strike on Sumy
Today, on November 22, at around 5 a.m. Kyiv time, Russian kamikaze drones attacked the city of Sumy. The strikes damaged 12 multi-story and five private residential buildings, a shop, and three cars.
According to preliminary data, 2 people were killed in the Russian strike. Another 12 people were injured. Rescuers reported that they had pulled two people out of the rubble.
