Russia strikes Sumy region: Houses damaged, large-scale fire erupts

As a result of Russian attacks on one of the settlements of the Krolevets community in the Sumy region, houses were damaged. In particular, a large-scale fire broke out, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
Non-residential premises were partially destroyed, residential buildings were damaged by the blast wave, and a large-scale fire broke out.
Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as well as local fire brigades from nearby settlements, were immediately sent to the scene to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack.
According to SESU representatives, the joint efforts managed to promptly eliminate all the fire centers and prevent their further spread.
Russian strikes on Sumy
On May 6, the Russian occupiers attacked the suburbs of Sumy at around 5:30 p.m. Kyiv time with a ballistic missile.
At first, local authorities reported that one child was killed. Later, they clarified that a young girl was killed in the Russian strike. Seven people were also injured - one adult woman and six children.

On the morning of April 13, Russian troops launched a double missile attack on the center of Sumy, using ballistic missiles with cluster munitions.
In general, Russia has recently intensified strikes in the Sumy region. Bilopilska and Vorozhbianska communities suffer the most.
