The Russian army launched a missile strike on an industrial facility in the city of Sumy on Wednesday, May 14, during the day. Casualties and injuries have already been reported, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA).
According to the Sumy RMA, two people were killed and nine others were injured as a result of the attack. Two of them are in serious condition.
"Deepest condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased," the Regional Military Administration said.

Earlier today, on May 14, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of ballistic weapons being used in the areas where the air alert was declared.
During the alert, an explosion occurred in Sumy.
Later, the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, explained that the explosion was caused by a Russian strike on an industrial infrastructure facility.
Earlier, we reported that during the night of May 14, Ukraine was attacked by a ballistic missile, Iskander-M/KN-23 from Crimea, and 145 Shahed-type attack drones. At that time, air defense managed to destroy 80 drones.
