On the morning of August 25, Russia struck Sumy with 2 drones, one of which hit a residential building, and the other hit a gas station, according to Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration.

"Russia attacked Sumy with 2 drones," the report says.

According to the head of the city military administration, one of the Russian strikes was recorded in a residential building. The Russian attack knocked out windows. 2 people suffered shrapnel wounds, were treated on the spot, and hospitalized for further examination.

The Russians launched another strike on a gas station. A fire broke out there, which was quickly extinguished by rescuers. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

Information about the damage is being clarified.

Russian strikes on Sumy and region

Since the evening of Sunday, August 24, Sumy has been under attack by Russian Shahed-type strike drones. Explosions were heard in the city.

According to local authorities, Russian drones struck the Sumy community, with additional strikes in the Romny community. Fires broke out at the strike sites.

In total, during the night, Russia launched 104 drones at Ukraine from 5 directions. Most of the drones were shot down, but there were hits in 15 locations.
