Russia strikes rescuers working at site of earlier attack, says emergency service

In the Kyiv region, Russian terrorists again attacked rescuers who were extinguishing a fire at the site of the first strike, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reports.
On the night of September 16, as a result of an enemy drone attack, a fire broke out in the parking lot of a shopping center.
"While extinguishing the fire, the aggressor struck the site again, damaging two fire and rescue vehicles," the message says.
Rescuers stated that the fire was extinguished. Thirteen rescuers and three units of equipment were involved in the operation.
Russian drone attack
On the night of September 16, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones.
In Kyiv, the air raid alert was announced twice. Air defense forces shot down many drones over the Kyiv region, while explosions sounded in the capital. Explosions were also reported in the areas of Fastiv, Vasylkiv, Bila Tserkva, and Vyshhorod in the Kyiv region.
In addition, Russian troops carried out a massive shelling of Zaporizhzhia. Fires broke out in the city, houses were damaged, there was one dead and many injured victims.
The enemy also struck Sumy with Shahed UAVs. Parts of the city lost electricity.
