Russian Shahed drones hit Sumy, city suffers partial blackout

Russian forces struck Sumy with Shahed drones, leaving parts of the city without power, according to Suspilne Sumy and the Ukrainian Air Force.
At 02:28 AM Kyiv time, the military reported hostile drones moving toward the city.
Around 02:30 AM Kyiv time, an explosion was heard in Sumy.
At 02:42 AM Kyiv time, another blast followed, after which power outages were reported in parts of the city.
Nighttime Russian strikes
On the night of September 16, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with missiles and Shahed drones.
In Zaporizhzhia, residential buildings were destroyed, fires broke out, and one person was killed.
In the Mykolaiv region, a Russian attack hit a farm, killing a tractor driver working in the field.
