Russia strikes rescuers in Nikopol extinguishing fire from previous attack
Russian troops attacked rescuers in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. They were extinguishing a fire at the time, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
“The night before, rescuers were extinguishing a fire in a private residential sector of the city, which was caused by a Russian drone. At that time, the Russian struck again and hit a fire and rescue vehicle,” the statement says.
Fortunately, the rescuers managed to escape to a safe place.
“After waiting out the danger, the firefighters extinguished the fire on an area of 60 square meters,” the SES adds.
5 rescuers and one unit of fire and rescue equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the Russian attack.
