Russia strikes power facility in Kherson region: Residents urged to prepare for blackouts

The situation with the electricity supply in Kherson region remains difficult. Prolonged blackouts are possible, says Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration.
Russian troops struck an important energy facility, which led to severe consequences for the region's power grid.
Power engineers are doing everything possible to eliminate the consequences of the Russian strikes and restore electricity to the homes of residents as soon as possible.
"All the necessary services and ministries are providing the necessary assistance. I am grateful for their support," he writes.
At the same time, Prokudin warns that it is currently impossible to predict the timeframe for completing the repairs.
Therefore, the residents of the Kherson region are urged to prepare for a possible long-term power outage.
Water cut-off schedule
The Kherson City Council reported that due to the power outage caused by Russian attacks, water will be supplied in Kherson according to the schedule, from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 5 to 9 p.m. Kyiv time.
The schedule will be in effect until the emergency repair work is completed.
As reported, there may be interruptions in the water supply on the upper floors of high-rise buildings.
"I can assure you that power engineers and all relevant services are doing everything possible to restore the power supply. I will inform you about the changes separately," Yaroslav Shanko, the head of Kherson City Military Administration.
