At night, Russian drones attacked the Poltava region. Thanks to the work of Ukrainian air defense, people were not injured, but there is damage, according to Filip Pronin, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

He confirms that there were no injuries to residents in the city and region.

However, a Russian drone damaged the administrative and production buildings of an industrial enterprise in the Poltava region.

On the evening of September 1, the Ukrainian Air Force spotted Russian drones flying across Ukraine for another air attack. Later, an alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine. At around midnight, an explosion was heard in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.

At around 1 a.m., explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Local authorities reported 2 Russian strikes in the Kyiv and Sloboda districts of the city, and no casualties were reported.

In the Kyiv region, Ukrainian air defense systems were also downing Russian targets. In Kyiv, the air raid was announced at 4:40 a.m. There were reports of a drone flying through the Chernihiv region towards the capital. The Ukrainian Air Force warned of a missile threat to the capital. Ukrainian air defense systems shot down 20 Russian missiles, 10 of which were ballistic missiles.

Later, Russian missiles changed their course towards Myrhorod, Poltava region. Missiles were spotted heading for Kremenchuk. They were also flying towards Cherkasy and Smila, as well as the suburbs of Boryspil.

As of the morning of September 2, the aftermath of the Russian shelling continues in Kyiv.

As reported by the General Staff of Ukraine, over the past 24 hours, 1,300 Russian soldiers, 1,177 (+1) MLRS, 26 armored combat vehicles, and many other Russian targets were eliminated.
