Russian strikes on Kherson and region
Russian troops continue to strike Kherson and communities in the region. On January 9, one of the Russian shells pierced the wall of a medical facility in the Dniprovskyi district of the city, injuring nurses.
Also, in early January, the Russians struck the Kherson Thermal Power Plant. At least four shells hit the plant, and due to the constant attacks, it lost the ability to operate normally.
At the end of last year, the Kherson city military administration reported that Russians were striking the thermal power plant almost daily, making it impossible to restore its operation. Local authorities are looking for alternative heating methods for city residents after Russia's strikes on the facility.
