Overnight, Russian troops struck the Seventh-Kilometer Market in the suburbs of Odesa. According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the Russian attack damaged market stalls and injured a 58-year-old security guard.

The Seventh-Kilometer Markemarket is officially named Promtovarny Market LLC. It is the largest wholesale and retail industrial goods market in Ukraine and ranks among the largest facilities of its kind in Europe.
The market came under Russian attack on the night of September 7. As a result, the market pavilions were damaged, and a security guard at the facility was injured.

As of the morning of September 8, the Russian attack on Kyiv had resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to 10 more residents of the capital; five of the injured were hospitalized, two of whom are in critical condition. Damage and falling debris were reported in seven districts of the city: Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi, and Dniprovskyi.
