Russia strikes Odesa region with drones: Kindergarten damaged, injured reported

On the night of Monday, March 17, the Russian army attacked Odesa region with drones. There was damage to a kindergarten, houses, and a wounded person, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
According to him, a shop and a car were also damaged during the attack on the region. One person was wounded.
“Russia attacked the peaceful Odesa region again with attack drones. In Odesa district, a kindergarten, a private house, a shop, and a car were damaged. Unfortunately, one person was injured. He was provided with all the necessary medical care,” he wrote.
Also, due to damage to the energy infrastructure, about 500 subscribers in the suburbs of Odesa are currently without electricity.
Russian drone attack on Ukraine
On the evening of Sunday, March 16, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces recorded the launch of Russian Shahed drones in the direction of Ukraine. Due to the threat of Russian drone strikes, an alert was issued in many regions.
Around midnight, air defense systems in the Kyiv region were operating, where Russian drones were detected.
Explosions were also heard in the capital at night. Kyiv authorities urged residents and visitors to stay in shelters until the air raid alert was lifted.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of March 17, Russia launched 174 drones at Ukraine from 5 directions.
Russia launched Shahed-type strike drones and imitator drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Orel, Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
