Russia strikes Ukraine with 174 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of March 17, Russia launched 174 drones at Ukraine from five directions, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russia launched Shahed-type drones and imitation drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the Russian air attack.
As of 9 a.m., 90 drones were confirmed to have been shot down in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, and a number of other regions. In addition, 70 simulator drones were lost locally without any negative consequences.
Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv regions were struck.
