Russia struck Odesa on the afternoon of July 16, leaving one person dead and several others injured, according to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

Russia kills one person in Odesa

Civilian infrastructure facilities in Odesa were damaged in the Russian attack.

"According to preliminary information, unfortunately, one person was killed, and three others were injured. My condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim," Kiper said.

Emergency crews are continuing to deal with the aftermath of the attack. All those injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration added at 1:52 p.m. local time.

Two residents were hospitalized

An hour later, Kiper noted that two of the injured had been hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

"Doctors assess the condition of one of them as critical. Another injured person received medical assistance without being hospitalized," he said.

Law enforcement officers are documenting another Russian war crime against Ukraine's civilian population.

On the morning of July 15, Russia launched a missile attack on Odesa. Three people were killed, and three others were injured.

On July 14, Russian forces attacked the city again, with strikes hitting infrastructure facilities.

On July 13, Russian troops struck the premises of a motor transport company in Odesa. At least three civilians were injured in the attack.
