Russia strikes Kyiv region overnight, leaving injured and damage across 5 districts

Since the evening of September 7, Russia has been launching massive attacks on the Kyiv region with jet-powered drones, ballistic missiles, and rockets, according to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Once again, civilian settlements and infrastructure have come under Russian fire. In Bila Tserkva, a man was injured—he sustained shrapnel wounds, and medical personnel are providing him with the necessary care.
In the Brovary district, three private homes and a car were damaged. In the Boryspil district, a warehouse, a business, and seven trucks were damaged.
In the Fastiv district, three private homes were damaged, and in the Obukhiv district, a private home was damaged. In the Bila Tserkva district, a manufacturing facility, a warehouse, two apartment buildings, and a private residence were damaged.
Rescue workers and emergency services are on the scene—they are assessing the damage and dealing with the aftermath of the Russian attack.
On September 8, explosions were heard in Kyiv due to a ballistic attack—the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of high-speed targets, and it soon became known that debris had fallen on buildings in two districts of Kyiv, with the first casualties reported.
The consequences were extensive: the State Emergency Service reported destruction and fires in at least five districts of Kyiv—ranging from a damaged 26-story building to people trapped in their apartments who were rescued by emergency responders. According to updated data from the Kyiv City Military Administration, the number of injured has risen to seven, and two more people have been killed.
