Russia strikes Kyiv for third time in a day, sparking warehouse fire and injuring one

On the evening of August 20, a Russian attack sparked a fire at a warehouse in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district. Emergency responders extinguished the blaze, which covered an area of 400 square meters, shortly after midnight, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Consequences of second Russian attack
The fire was quickly brought under control
On the evening of August 20, Russian troops attacked Kyiv once again. As a result of the second strike, a warehouse building in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital caught fire.
The fire covered an area of 400 square meters. Firefighters fully extinguished the fire at 12:07 a.m. on August 21.
Russian attack marked the third attempt by Russian forces to strike Kyiv within a single day.

One person was injured
The death toll remains high. One person was injured in the Holosiivskyi district.
Overall, the consequences of the Russian attacks on Kyiv, which began on the night of August 20, were severe.
According to data available at the time of this report, 16 people were killed, and another 42 were injured. In addition, rescue workers managed to bring 12 people to safety.
Efforts to address the aftermath of the Russian strikes are still ongoing.
On the night of August 20, Russian forces launched a massive combined strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. The attack resulted in fatalities and dozens of casualties in Kyiv and Brovary, and also damaged residential buildings, warehouses, and critical infrastructure facilities.
