Russia strikes Kherson region with drones: Casualties reported
On the evening of December 29, Russian forces used a drone to drop explosives on the outskirts of Kherson. The attack injured an elderly couple, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
"Around 9:30 PM (Kyiv time), residents of Antonivka came under attack by an enemy drone. The explosive drop injured a 62-year-old man and woman," the statement said.
The administration clarified that the man sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his legs. His wife suffered a concussion and fractures to both lower legs. Both victims were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Notably, on the night of December 29, Russian forces launched six S-300/S-400 missiles and ten drones across Ukraine. Air defense units shot down nine Shahed attack drones and several other unmanned aerial vehicles.
