The attack, carried out with Shahed drones, caused damage to the hospital and nearby residential buildings.

Preliminary reports indicate that some of the wounded are service members who were receiving treatment at the medical facility.

“The deliberate, targeted strike by the Russian army on a Ukrainian medical institution adds to the long list of cruel and cynical crimes committed by Russia since the start of its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine,” the General Staff stated.

The General Staff emphasized that war crimes have no statute of limitations and that evidence of the attack would be submitted to international criminal justice bodies.

Syniehubov noted that impacts were recorded in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts.

"A private home, a medical facility, and an office building were damaged. Windows were shattered in residential high-rises, and private cars and garages caught fire. There are injured and one dead," he said.

Emergency services are continuing efforts to mitigate the aftermath of the strikes.
