On the evening of March 29, several explosions were heard in Kharkiv. There are already victims and a dead victim in the city, Ihor Terekhov, Mayor of Kharkiv reports.

"Explosion in the center of Kharkiv. A Shahed drone strike," the message said at 8:45 p.m. Kyiv time.

A few minutes later, Terekhov informed about at least two more explosions.

The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, reported that the Russians struck the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. According to preliminary information, the enemy used Shahed-type UAVs.

"At this moment, two people have been injured. Emergency services have arrived at the site of the impact," Synehubov stated.

Oleh Synehubov informed that another strike was recorded in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Fortunately, there were no casualties. As of this moment, relevant services have arrived at the site of the hit.

"Regarding the previous strikes, there is information about hits in a residential area. Preliminary reports suggest there are wounded," wrote Ihor Terekhov.

In his next message, he clarified that there is one killed victim and a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district was hit.

"In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a Shahed drone hit a private house. One person is dead, and another is injured," reported Synehubov.

Another explosion was heard in Kharkiv. The mayor warned that more drones are still approaching the city.

"The number of injured in the massive enemy attack has increased to ten people. Among them are a 16-year-old boy and a girl. There is also one killed victim," clarified the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

"One of the impact sites is on fire, and there are also wounded, with at least one in critical condition – this is preliminary information," informed Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

He also clarified that, according to initial reports, the enemy drones hit six locations. The number of injured has increased to nine, and one person has died. Earlier, the regional governor had reported that ten people were injured.

Additionally, Terekhov mentioned that a shopping center, high-rise residential buildings, a medical facility, and an office building were damaged in the city.

"At one of the impact sites, a person is trapped under debris. The rescue operation is ongoing," Terekhov wrote.

He added that, as of now, 15 people have been reported as injured.

According to Terekhov, the number of injured has risen to 19.

Air raid alerts

As of 8:57 p.m. Kyiv time, the air raid alert map looked as follows. As can be seen, the alarm continues in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Poltava, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that drones were detected in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

Earlier, on the evening of Wednesday, March 26, Russia launched a massive drone strike on Kharkiv. By morning, reports indicated that 11 people were injured as a result of the attack.

Furthermore, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that civilian vehicles and outbuildings were damaged due to the enemy’s attack.
