Russia strikes Ivano-Frankivsk region: Industrial facility damaged, fire starts
A Russian drone attack on the night of 13 September damaged an industrial facility in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. A fire broke out, according to the Ministry of Energy and the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.
"In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, an industrial infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack," the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy says.
According to power engineers, an overhead line was cut off while extinguishing the fire, and household consumers lost power, but power has now been restored.
Air defense was operating in region
Ukrainian air defense systems were deployed in the region during the Russian attack, and despite the damage to the plant, there were no casualties.
"Last night, Russia attacked our region again, and air defense systems were operating. All the relevant services are currently eliminating the consequences of the Russian air attack. Fortunately, there were no casualties," says the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
On the night of September 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. Russians launched 26 Shaheds at Ukraine, 24 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.
At the same time, explosions were heard in Odesa during the alarm. Later, it was reported that the Russians attacked Odesa and the region with drones. One person was injured, and there were injuries due to falling debris.
In Mykolaiv, a fire broke out at an enterprise due to a Russian drone attack, the debris of which fell on the territory of the facility.
According to the military and the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 20 Russian drones in the south: 16 in the Odesa region and 4 in the Mykolaiv region. Another 4 Russian drones were shot down in the Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, where Ukrainian air defense systems were also operating.
