Fire breaks out in Mykolaiv after nighttime drone attack
Russian forces attempted to attack Mykolaiv on the night of September 13, causing a fire in the city, according to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.
According to him, air defense forces were active overnight in Mykolaiv. As a result, debris from a downed drone fell onto the grounds of a food production facility.
"A fire broke out at the site, which was extinguished by rescuers," the mayor reported.
Sienkevych clarified that there were no casualties in Mykolaiv as a result of the enemy attack. Specialists are inspecting the surrounding area to check if any residential sectors were damaged.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported on the evening of September 12 that the Russians had launched Shahed drones. Enemy drones were flying from the direction of the Black Sea. Drone movements were recorded in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, and Kyiv regions. As of the morning, operations were still ongoing.
Last night the occupiers also attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. The Russians carried out a massive strike on Konotop in the Sumy region. The city sustained significant damage, including to its energy infrastructure.
