Russia strikes industrial facility in Poltava region: Casualties reported
An industrial facility was hit in the Poltava region as a result of today's Russian air attack on August 26. There were casualties in the region as a result of the Russian attack, according to the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Filip Pronin.
"Russia hit an industrial facility in the Poltava region. 5 people were injured," the official says.
The head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration does not specify which facility was hit and in which area.
The official urges residents of the region to stay in safe places amid the large-scale air raid alert.
"Do not ignore the air raid alert. Stay in shelters until the alarm goes off!" he writes.
Russia's combined air attack on Ukraine
In the Poltava region, the air raid alert was announced at around 1 a.m. on August 26, and it is still in effect. In general, the sirens initially sounded in the region due to the Russian occupiers' launch of several groups of Shaheds.
In the morning, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. It is related to the launch of cruise missiles from Russian Tu-95MS and Kalibr carriers in the Black Sea.
In addition, according to monitoring groups, the Russians launched ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Russia also raised 6 Tu-22M3 bombers that took off from the Shaykovka airfield.
Shaheds were shot down in the Kyiv region at night. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration says that up to 10 Russian kamikaze drones were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces on the approach to the capital.
