Last night, on October 17, Russian invaders attacked energy facilities in the Mykolaiv region. As a result of the Russian attack, there was a power outage in the region, but power engineers have already managed to power most of the subscribers, says Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Last night, Ukrainian air defense forces and means continued to work in the region to repel a Russian attack. However, he did not disclose any details.

The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration head says that the Russian army had again attacked the region's energy infrastructure, and as a result, there are power outages.

“Power engineers have already connected most of the consumers, and the work continues,” he says.

As the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration clarifies, fortunately, there were no casualties.

There were problems with the power sector in the Mykolaiv region yesterday as well, but not because of Russian shelling, but because of an emergency in the high-voltage networks. On the morning of October 16, power went out in Mykolaiv and parts of the region. About 272,000 consumers were cut off.

In April, the Russian Shaheds hit a power facility near Mykolaiv, which resulted in emergency blackouts in the region.

In winter, part of the Mykolaiv region was left without electricity due to Russian artillery strikes.
