The Russian Federation has begun mass production of the Termit helicopter-type drone, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The novelty is armed with 80-mm missiles that can hit targets at a distance of up to six kilometers.

At the same time, Ukrainian military analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko said that Termit does not pose a threat to the Defense Forces, as these drones are larger and slower than Iranian Shahids, making them an easy target to shoot down.

Sanctions for supplying Russia with components for drones

On December 11, the European Union imposed sanctions on several individuals and legal entities involved in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles by Iran, which Russia uses against Ukraine.

Finland has uncovered a scheme to supply 3,500 drones worth millions of euros to Russia to circumvent sanctions.

Previously, a Dutch court sentenced a Russian businessman to a year and a half in prison and a €200,000 fine. He was supplying Russia with microcircuits to circumvent sanctions.
