Russia spreads new fake about Zelenskyy
In Russia, a new fake story about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is being circulated, claiming that he purchased a villa on the Island of Billionaires. However, this is untrue, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).
CCD noted that information about the alleged purchase of a "villa with an underground bunker" by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for 17 million euros, supposedly located on the "Island of Billionaires" Saint Barthélemy, is nothing more than another fake news story from Russian propagandists.
"It is claimed that the villa was allegedly purchased by the Cypriot company Aldorante LTD, but there is no evidence or proof to support this information," the CCD stated.

They emphasize that the circulated "news" also lacks any official documents or primary sources.

It was established on February 22, 2007. Previously, it was part of the overseas department of Guadeloupe. Its administrative center is Gustavia.
The island was discovered in 1493 by Christopher Columbus, who named it after his brother Bartholomew.

Fakes about Zelenskyy
Similar fake stories about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have been spread by Russian propaganda before.
For instance, in August, Russians disseminated information claiming that the US government allegedly wanted to replace Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy due to an operation in the Kursk region.
As explained by the CCD, the main goal of such claims is to discredit the Ukrainian president.
