Russian troops launched an air strike on the Zaporizhzhia region this morning, August 6. As a result of the Russian strikes, there are killed and wounded, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

"Russian air strike damaged buildings. At least three people are known to have been injured," Fedorov said.

He later reported that as a result of the Russian strikes, 2 people were killed and the number of wounded rose to 12, including 4 children. In addition, at least 9 buildings were damaged by the Russian air strike.

"5 people in severe and moderate condition have been sent to the hospital," the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration added.

Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and region

Since the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russians have been attacking the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region with various types of weapons.

In particular, on the night of July 20, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region with strike drones and artillery. As a result, several private houses were destroyed in Zaporizhzhia, windows and the facade of a high-rise building were damaged, and there were also injuries.

In addition, on the morning of July 15, Russians continued to attack Ukraine with drones. An air raid alert has been in effect in the Zaporizhzhia region for over 13 hours.

2 people were also injured as a result of the Russian strikes on Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region. Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhia itself, fires broke out due to the Russian drone attack, and the administrative building of one of the infrastructure facilities was damaged.
