Statements by Russia claiming that its army has reached the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region are fake, according to the Telegram channel of Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

According to Lysak, the information spreading online is intended to destabilize the situation.

"This is fake! Both the 'news' and the photo allegedly illustrating it. They do not correspond to reality and were deliberately published by the enemy to intimidate residents of our region, sow panic, and destabilize the situation," Lysak wrote.

He urged people not to believe provocations and to trust only official sources.

Russian Z-military bloggers (pro-war bloggers - ed.) and propaganda media claimed that Russian forces had crossed the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions near Novomykolaivka.

Moreover, it has been reported that Russian troops intend to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region by May 9.
