Russians are spreading a fake claim that on the night of June 17, during a massive terrorist strike, an air defense missile allegedly hit a building in Kyiv’s Solomyansky district, Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation reports.

"The spreading of such destructive fake messages is a targeted information campaign by the enemy. In this way, Russia tries to justify each of its massive attacks on Ukrainian territory," Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation reports.

The Ukrainian side reminded that on the night of June 17, Russian terrorists launched against Kyiv:

  • 175 drones;
  • 14 cruise missiles, among which at least two were ballistic.

As of now, 21 people have been confirmed killed in the Solomyansky district of the capital. Rescuers continue to clear the debris.
