Russia shells transport infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia region: Aftermath revealed
On the night of March 28, the Russian occupiers attacked the Zaporizhzhia region with Shaheds. They attacked the transport infrastructure, according to the Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces.
During the attack, Russians used strategic and tactical aviation and then released several waves of kamikaze drones.
On the evening of March 27, the Russian occupiers fired Kh-22 missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft that had reached the launching range over the Black Sea towards the Odesa region. Later, an anti-radar missile was fired from a Su-30 aircraft in the same direction. The missiles lost their combat capability in the sea.
The drone strike was focused on the Zaporizhzhia region. The combat operation lasted for almost four hours, and the Shaheds maneuvered over residential areas and industrial facilities.
11 Russian drones were destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia region, 3 in the Dnipro region, and 2 in the Odesa region.
But there were hits, in particular, Russians attacked the transport infrastructure of the Zaporizhzhia region, and no people were injured. Wreckage of downed drones also fell in the private sector of Zaporizhzhia. A fire broke out, and the blast wave damaged more than 10 buildings. Two residents were injured.
Russian night attack on Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the evening of March 27 and at night, Russia fired three Kh-22 cruise missiles, one Kh-31P and one S-300, as well as 28 attack drones at Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 26 Shaheds.
At night, explosions were heard in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa. The Russian occupiers once again attacked Kharkiv, destroying a restaurant and damaging houses.
