Russia allegedly will never agree to a "freeze" in hostilities in Ukraine without eliminating the "root causes" of the war, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said, according to TASS.

"As Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said, no 'freeze' is possible without eliminating the root causes of this crisis," Galuzin said.

In addition, the Russian diplomat began claiming that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had "lost all connection with reality" and was allegedly "trying to escalate the conflict."

Against this backdrop, the Russian deputy foreign minister complained about strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russia's energy infrastructure.

Moreover, Galuzin called on the West to "respond" to Ukraine's successful deep strikes.

"We hope there will be an adequate response from the international community, including the United States and European countries that have influence over the Kyiv regime," the Russian diplomat added.

He also said he considered US actions toward Ukraine to be "contradictory."

"The continued supply of American weapons to the Kyiv regime, the provision of intelligence and other assistance, which are inconsistent with the pursuit of peace, speak for themselves," Galuzin complained.

By the way, it was recently reported that Putin is preparing a secret mobilization to put pressure on Europe.
