Russia's new cruise missile Banderol: Ukraine's Intelligence reveals key details

Russian terrorists have begun using a new cruise missile, the S8000 Banderol, launched from drones and equipped with foreign components, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence reports.
Features of Banderol cruise missile
The missile was developed by the sanctioned joint-stock company Kronshtadt, and its primary carrier is the Orion UAV, which is also produced by the same company. In particular, the enemy plans to adapt the missile for use from Mi-28N attack helicopters.
Specifications of Banderol cruise missile:
- warhead weight - up to 150 kg;
- range - up to 500 km at a speed of 500 km/h;
- aviation kerosene is used as fuel;
- capable of making turns with a smaller radius than typical Russian-made missiles such as the Kh-101, 3M-14, 9M727, and Kh-69. At the same time, it retains the characteristic flight trajectory of a cruise missile.
Components of Banderol cruise missile
Among the foreign components the missile is equipped with:
- Swiwin SW800Pro jet engine (China) - an engine used in model aviation. Sold through online platforms, its average price is around $16,000;
- RFD900x telemetry module of Australian origin or its Chinese copy;
- an inertial navigation system, likely of Chinese origin;
- Murata rechargeable batteries (Japan);
- Dynamixel MX-64AR servos (Robotis company, South Korea);
- interference-protected CRP antenn Kometa-M8;
- nearly two dozen microchips from American, Chinese, Swiss, Japanese, and South Korean manufacturers.
"Most of the foreign electronic component base for this missile is supplied through the 'Chip and Dip' network. The network is one of the largest Russian electronics distributors. In total, over 20 key components of the S8000 missile have been identified, as well as about 30 enterprises involved in its production or supply," Ukraine's Defense Intelligence added.
RBC-Ukraine also previously reported that the first photos of the new series of Shahed kamikaze drones with the marking "Ъ" have appeared.
