Russia's losses in its war against Ukraine as of Wednesday morning, August 9, have amounted to 820 troops, bringing the total casualties of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion to 251,620 military personnel, according to the Ukrainian General Staff report.
The overall Russia's combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 9, 2023, are estimated as follows:

- Combat armored vehicles: 8,290 (+12) units.
- Artillery systems: 5,013 (+17) units.
- Multiple rocket launch systems (MLRS): 711 (+2) units.

- Helicopters: 312 units.

Frontline situation
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. In the past 24 hours, there have been more than 30 combat clashes. The Institute of War Studies reported Russian complaints about Ukrainian attacks with armored vehicles and tank support near Robotyne, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted a raid on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, potentially breaking through defenses by 800 meters.
