Ukraine continues to record significant Russian losses on the front lines. Over the past day, the Russian army has suffered serious losses in manpower and equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 22, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,105,490 (+940) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • Tanks - 11,201;
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,287 (+2);
  • Artillery systems - 33,133 (+38);
  • MLRS - 1,501 (+5);
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,222 (+4);
  • Aircraft - 426;
  • Helicopters - 345;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 63,235 (+415);
  • Cruise missiles - 3,747;
  • Warships/boats - 28;
  • Submarines - 1;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 62,736 (+120);
  • Special equipment - 3,975 (+2).

The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Russia's Bashkortostan, oil pumping stations in the Volgograd region, a drone production facility in Valuyki, and the Astrakhan gas processing plant, which was another step toward weakening Russia's military and industrial infrastructure.

Over the past day, 172 combat combat with Russian invaders were recorded on the front line, while the situation remained particularly tense in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions.
