Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 4: +1,390 troops, 30 artillery systems
Over the past 24 hours, on September 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,390 Russian occupants at the frontline. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 620,000 personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian from February 24, 2022, to September 4, 2024, is estimated to be:
- personnel - about 620,350 (+1,390) troops;
- tanks - 8618 (+7) units;
- armored combat vehicles - 16848 (+27) units;
- artillery systems - 17694 (+30) units;
- MLRS - 1177 units;
- anti-aircraft defense systems - 940 units;
- aircraft - 368 units;
- helicopters - 328 units;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 14616 (+43) units;
- cruise missiles - 2580 units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 24007 (+35) units;
- special equipment - 3014 (+12) units.
Situation at frontline
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 207 combat engagements occurred along the contact line yesterday. More than half of them took place in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors.
Meanwhile, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) write that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region may have forced Russia to move some of its troops there, even though they were preparing for attacks in the Pokrovsk sector.
