Ukrainian military forces have reported the elimination of an additional 640 Russian occupiers in the past 24 hours, bringing the Russian Armed Forces' total losses in manpower to an estimated 267,540 soldiers. Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 23 Russian tanks and 23 armored vehicles, as well as over 30 artillery systems and 29 drones, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 8, 2023, are approximately as follows:

Frontline situation

According to the morning report from the General Staff, there were 39 combat engagements on the frontlines in the past day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation in the direction of Melitopol, consolidating their positions to the south of Robotyne. However, the operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation conducted 10 strikes in the past 24 hours against areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, military equipment, and the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems operated by the occupiers.

Units of the missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have targeted one ammunition depot, six artillery pieces, two command posts, and two enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes.
