The Russian military has suffered another significant blow on the battlefield, with Ukrainian forces reporting heavy personnel and equipment losses over the past 24 hours.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 5, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation

Ukraine continues to strike Russia’s war machine across multiple fronts, with more than 51% of its oil refining capacity reportedly taken offline, a Buk-M3 and a drone facility hit on the battlefield, and an SBU drone strike damaging two fighter jets and an ammunition depot at a Russian airbase in Adygea.

Meanwhile, Russia launched five guided aerial bombs at a residential area in Sumy, damaging apartment buildings and cars, with strikes reported near a high-rise building and casualties reported.
