Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 23: +920 troops and 24 artillery systems

The General Staff report for October 23 reflects updated data on enemy losses and the amount of destroyed equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, the approximate combat losses of the enemy as of October 23, 2025, are as follows:
- Personnel – about 1,134,170 (+920)
- Tanks – 11,282 (+2)
- Armored combat vehicles – 23,453 (+6)
- Artillery systems – 33,938 (+24)
- MLRS – 1,525 (+1)
- Air defense systems – 1,230 (+1)
- Aircraft – 428
- Helicopters – 346
- Operational-tactical level UAVs – 73,386 (+626)
- Cruise missiles – 3,880 (+16)
- Ships/boats – 28
- Submarines – 1
- Vehicles and fuel tanks – 65,228 (+106)
- Special equipment – 3,981
Data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of October 23 confirm the ongoing resistance and the effectiveness of Ukraine's defense, showing heavy enemy losses in both personnel and equipment.
The Russian-installed authorities have received official permission to appropriate residential and commercial properties of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, on October 20, the decision established the possibility of recognizing property as ownerless and transferring it to state ownership.
It is noted that the water supply crisis in Crimea is worsening due to drought and falling reservoir levels. In Alushta, water may run out within three months, while the local Russian authorities have not yet presented concrete solutions to stabilize the supply.
