Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 7: +1,020 troops and 338 drones

Since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, and up to October 7, 2025, the enemy has suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment. An analysis of data from the General Staff enables the assessment of the scale of losses and changes on the front during this period, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the data of the General Staff, the total losses of the enemy as of October 7, 2025, amounted to approximately 1,117,360 personnel, which is 1,020 more compared to the previous report for October 6. These figures reflect the impact of hostilities on the workforce and the effectiveness of defensive operations.
Losses of aircraft and helicopters
From February 24, 2022, to October 7, 2025, the enemy lost 427 aircraft and 346 helicopters, indicating significant losses in the air component.
Armored vehicles and artillery
Damage to armored equipment continues to remain significant:
- Tanks: 11,238 (+3)
- Troop-carrying AFVs: 23,319 (+6)
- Artillery systems: 33,493 (+29)
- Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS): 1,516
These data indicate a systematic reduction in the enemy's mobility and firepower.
Unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles
The enemy has lost 67,564 operational-tactical UAVs (+338) and 3,841 cruise missiles, reducing its reconnaissance and long-range strike capabilities.
Naval and special equipment
Recorded losses:
- Warships/boats: 28
- Submarines: 1
- Special equipment: 3,973 (+2)
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 63,575 (+79)
- Anti-aircraft systems: 1,224 (+1)
These data highlight the vulnerability of the enemy's naval and support units.
The General Staff's report confirms the systematic reduction of the enemy's combat capability across all areas — from personnel to heavy equipment and aviation. The dynamics of losses continue to influence the strategic situation on the front.
Since the beginning of October 6, 113 combat clashes have been recorded on the front. Russian forces are conducting offensive actions in almost all directions, with the most intense attacks recorded in the Pokrovsk area.
In the near future, the Russian army will concentrate efforts on the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia directions. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation on the front remains tense: the enemy is actively assaulting our troops' positions, creating a numerical and technical advantage of 5–6 times in key sectors.
